About
Nick holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and is completing a master’s degree in translation and localization management from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. As a scholar and professional, he studied abroad with the School for International Training in Ecuador and with the American Field Service in Paraguay.
His professional experiences include serving as the district translator and interpreter and then manager for translation and interpretation for the Holyoke Public Schools, language consultant and research and language assistant for the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and as a certified medical interpreter at Holyoke Medical Center in service to the Spanish-speaking community. He has extensive experience providing direct service to patients in emergency and intermediate care and coordinating language access services for educators, families, and students.
